Weezer jolly good fellow
Weezer share ‘I Love the USA’ video
The song also appears on a deluxe edition of the band’s ‘White Album’.
With fairly apt timing considering the current shit-storm going down in the United States as their presidential election grows closer, Weezer have shared a satirical video for ‘I Love the USA’.
Starring actor and stand-up comedian Patton Oswalt, the video shows an enthusiastic, bum-bag sporting patriot, who has apparently broken into The White House’s Oval Office. As helpless security look on, he proceeds to jump all over the cream sofas, and at one point plays a guitar solo on the desk. When the guards eventually get to him, things end in a haze of big red buttons and mushroom clouds. Uh oh.
The song was originally penned to celebrate NASA finally sending a spaceship to Jupiter, apparently. Previously a one-off, it now appears on a deluxe edition of Weezer’s latest album, ‘White Album’.
