Weezer take ‘Back to the Shack’ to the moon for new video

Weezer’s new video is one great big “fuck yeah!”, way more important than the average giant leap for mankind.

Rivers Cuomo and co. bring their ‘Back to the Shack’ song to the moon for their latest clip, directed by Warren Fu. It’s shamelessly OTT, ready for take off from the get go.

It mostly consists of the band performing ‘Everything Will be Alright in the End’’s lead single with even more gusto than usual (‘cause they’re on the moon, obvs), ending the whole thing by planting a gigantic Weezer logo on this newly colonised territory.

No doubt about it, this really eclipses their previous videos. Watch it on Noisey here.

‘Back to the Shack’ is taken from ‘Everything Will be Alright in the End’, produced by Ric Ocasek and out right bloody now.

Weezer are interviewed in the October issue of DIY, out Friday 3rd October. Details.
