Wet Leg unveil third 'moisturizer' preview 'davina mccall' • News • DIY Magazine

Having stormed back into the spotlight with recent singles ‘catch these fists’ and ‘CPR’, Wet Leg have now shared new track ‘davina mccall’ - our third taste of what to expect from their hotly-anticipated second album ‘moisturizer’ (due out on 11th July via Domino).

Setting aside their signature eye-rolling attitude for a second, ‘davina mccall’ is an uncharacteristically earnest cut that sees the band lean into their softer side and embrace the joys of being in love (albeit via the medium of everyone’s favourite Big Brother presenter).

Speaking about the collaborative process behind the track, founding member Hester Chambers has explained that she started working on the song with bassist Ellis Durand, before partner in crime Rhiane Teasdale worked out the lyrics and melody: “Ellis and I were on the edge of our seats being like, ‘We’re gonna get this, we’re completing the puzzle’.”

What’s more, Wet Leg have now also confirmed that they’ll be playing London’s Electric Ballroom next month as part of a series of UK outstore shows, before continuing their live run across Europe and North America.
