Whistlejacket burst through the haze with ‘Stay - N’ single

There’s a sharpness to Whistlejacket’s psychedelic shoegaze that cuts through the haze like few others can manage. As they ready a debut EP on London indie mega-label Fierce Panda, they’re bursting free with ‘Stay - N’, a razor-edged marker of their prowess.

Premiering below on DIY, ‘Stay - N’ draws to mind the Madchester psych-gaze of Cheatahs and their ilk, tying it tight to a fiercer, punk-tinged pace. It comes following teeth-cutting dates alongside the likes of DIIV, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Yuck and Bully, and ahead of their debut EP ‘What I Ate On Sunday’. Before that, though, the single’s being released on beermat (yup) and backed with another newbie, ‘Oh My, as part of Fierce Panda’s singles club - grab that here.

The ‘What I Ate On Sunday’ EP is set for release on February 5th 2016. First, though, the band are adding several more notches to their touring belts - full dates are as follows, with the first stream of ‘Stay - N’ below:
