Yak assault the senses with ‘Alas Salvation’ video

Track is taken from the group’s ‘No’ EP, out this week on Jack White’s Third Man Records.

Salvation isn’t the first thing you’d expect from Yak. Their unrelenting, brilliantly deranged noise doesn’t give any room for breathing. Just when it looks to have made his mark, out steps another trick. When frontman Oli Burslem seems to have reached his manic peak, he’ll perform another fancy feat.

It’s a theme running through their new ‘Alas Salvation’ video, premiering on DIY below. The track’s lifted from their new ‘No’ EP on Third Man Records, and it’s a blistering, blink-and-you-missed-it cut, spanning just over a minute. The track’s been backed by inverted and distorted imagery, circuiting city streets and dull concrete landscapes. The salvation from all this grimy urban scenery? That’d be Yak.

‘No’ is out 13th November. Pre-order here.
