Yak cover Karen Dalton on rollicking new B-side, ‘Something On Your Mind’

London trio are supporting Peace on their October UK tour.

Out of nowhere, London trio Yak have fast-become one of the capital’s most talked about new bands. Leading DIY’s Neu section this month, they’ve also lined up a ridiculously busy summer, where they’re set to support The Strokes at Hyde Park and Peace on their October headline tour.

Before all that, they’re putting out a debut single on Fat Possum. Linking up with ‘Hungry Heart’ is ‘Something On Your Mind’, a strung-out cover of the Karen Dalton original. Like everything in their locker so far, it showcases another side to Yak, making them one of the UK’s hardest-to-pin-down bands in yonks.
