Yak enter the abyss with disorienting ‘Plastic People’ video

Exciting London trio are readying themselves for this year’s inner-city fests.

Take our word for it before it becomes a catchphrase: Yak are this year’s must-see festival act. They’re tipped in our Festival Guide, and they’re playing just about everywhere, bringing a hook-stuffed psych / noise hybrid to every audience imaginable.

In anticipation of their inevitable world domination, they’ve given a taste of their live show with this new video for ‘Plastic People’. Filmed in Dalston’s mirror-lined Shacklewell Arms, it brings together shots of newly-enraptured audiences getting swept up in Yak’s magnetic wave. Try to resist this - we dare you.

‘Plastic People’ is taken from Yak’s debut EP, via their Octopus Electrical imprint and Fat Possum. Catch up with DIY’s Yak introducing interview here.
