Premiere
York trio JUNK take a sweet trip with new ‘Dirt in My Eye’ track
Hear the latest work from a ridiculously exciting new band.
York’s JUNK. first struck a chord with their ‘Car’ EP, a late 2014 release spelling out the trio’s simple, cutting garage punk in perfect shades. Despite a sharp melody knowhow, they sounded like three newcomers picking up instruments for the first time and taking to the skies. As a matter of fact, they still do. And that’s the charm of JUNK., amplified on new release ‘Dirt in My Eye’.
Out via CHUD Records this May and streaming below in full, it’s taken from a four-track release (‘Liquorice’) that brings together Estella Adeyeri and co.’s fullest charms. ‘Dirt in My Eye’ kicks off with the kind of riff The Cribs would be proud to boast. A pop-punk nodding blast, it rinses out boredom in a brilliant flash. Talk about a wake up call. The best thing is, JUNK. have plenty more in their trunk.
We’re excited to be streaming JUNK.’s ‘Dirt in My Eye’, below.
