Young Karin unveil debut track, ‘Hearts’
Reykjavík duo plug into dreamy, bleep-centric pop with their debut.

Here’s something pristine-as-can-be and fresh out of the box from new Reykjavík duo Young Karin. Their debut track ‘Hearts’ is a product of post-2012 bleep-heavy pop (Purity Ring’s early numbers are stamped all over this), but it’s also a clear-headed testament to the present day.
As the story goes, the duo first met at a local song contest. Comprising of Logi Pedro Stefánsson and Karin Sveinsdóttir, it was either resolute competition of mere likemindedness that brought the two together, and they sound brilliantly in sync on this debut.
Apparently they were nominated for best newcomers at the Icelandic Music Awards without releasing any music, so that’s something: Feast on their first work below.
Featuring Yard Act, Death Cab For Cutie, Graham Coxon, Maisie Peters and more.
