ZAND reveals ‘Religion’ video

Released in partnership with Jägermeister Musik!

Following on from the release of their ‘UGLY POP’ EP late last year, ZAND has returned with new track ‘Religion’ back in August, and now they’re sharing the accompanying video. Created in partnership with Jägermeister Musik, ZAND says, “The video plays with religious storylines and stereotypes as well as shame around queerness and homosexuality - while the songs lyrics detail an infatuation with an angel, this visual dives further into the concept by showing a nun’s ‘sins’ and ‘unclean (queer) thoughts’ being amplified by a mischevous, otherworldly being in their head - thus ironically messing with the whole idea that we as queer people are ‘possessed’ by some gay, shapeshifting demon. It’s basically taking the piss out of that.” The visual also comes ahead of our DIY IRL show tomorrow, where ZAND will be performing a special DJ set, alongside live sets from Talk Show and Fräulein. Make sure you grab your ticket here now! Check out the video for ‘Religion’ below and revisit us with ZAND in the studio recording the track too!
