Nao & A. K Paul - So Good

Nao is a sugar-tongued newcomer from London and her second track features A. K. Paul (AKA the brother of Jai, social recluse and all-round musical genius). Something’s in the Paul gene, evidently. There’s a touch of ‘Jasmine’ to ‘So Good’, which arrives in slick, non-demo form, without any dodgy Bandcamp leak or subsequent statement.

Sharp-edged accordion-style synths clamber to get centre stage, with jumbled funk guitar lines and wobbling bass throbs executing that all-important Paul factor with serious steel. Nao’s vocals are the vital part, giving sweet rejoicing purpose to this ultra-assured production.
