Marina and the Diamonds returns with ‘FROOT’ single

She’s been “saving all her summers for you” with this comeback single.

Marina and the Diamonds is streaming ‘FROOT’, her first single since 2012’s ‘Electra Heart’.

‘FROOT’ is the title-track from a forthcoming third album, due out in early 2015. Consisting of funk licks and more disco than the average Nile Rodgers house party, it also contains one of this year’s most memorable, instant crush lyrics: “I’ve been saving all my summers for you.” The track’s produced by Marina and David Kosten.

Lyrics for the song were posted in advance by the singer. Check those out here.

Listen to ‘FROOT’ below, with animation from Bill Richards.
