Jon Hopkins to headline Bloc Festival
Immunity producer tops the Butlins bill.
Jon Hopkins will headline this year’s Bloc Festival, with the event returning to its original home of Butlins in Minehead for the 2015 edition.
Three years on from its disastrous move to the capital, which saw the event at London Pleasure Gardens shut down amid safety concerns in 2012, organisers announced last October that Bloc would return to the Somerset site in 2015.
Bloc will take place from 13-15 March with tickets, including accommodation, available from £169 for the weekend. Modeselektor, Hudson Mohawke, Ben UFO and Detroit pioneer Moodymann are amongst others that feature on the lineup.
Following Bloc, Jon Hopkins is set to play Brixton Academy with support from East India Youth on April 24th, the final show promoting his ‘Immunity’ album that earned a Mercury Prize nomination in 2013. Tickets for can still be purchased here.
