Doldrums confirms new album, ‘The Airconditioned Nightmare’

Canadian gadget-head Airick Woodhead has announced details for his second Doldrums album.

Titled ‘The Air-Conditioned Nightmare’, it’s out 6th April via Sub Pop (7th April in North America). Lead track ‘Hotfoot’ is streaming below via a strobe-heavy, visualiser frenzy of a video.

In a statement about the new LP, Woodhead says the following: “Conflict is at the heart of this album. There’s a lot of paranoid sentiment and Dystopian imagery in there. The threat of a mundane reality ties it together, as does an obsession with plasticity. Songs come from specific feelings or images. Anxiety is my default state.”
