Gerard Way debuts new material on European tour
Way has been performing two new tracks.
Gerard Way is currently on tour promoting his debut album ‘Hesitant Alien’, but a couple of unreleased tracks have made their way into the set.
‘Don’t Try’ is a leftover from the “Hesitant Alien’ sessions and Gerard has mentioned his intention to revisit it, alongside the other studio demos.
A new song, ‘Kid Nothing’ has also been aired and Gerard has taken to Twitter to talk about it. “When I write new albums I tend to write the first 2 songs and see where the rest takes me,” he explains. “So there is a song that is supposed to come before ‘Kid Nothing’, which is pretty much all ready to go, just finishing lyrics.” He concludes by saying we should expect to hear those songs at his headline show at London’s Brixton Academy.
In an interview with Kerrang!, he also teases the possibility of guest performers joining him for his biggest headline show as a solo artist.
Gerard Way will speak at the Oxford Union, between two UK headline shows, on the 22nd January.
