Sam Smith airs ‘Writing’s On The Wall’ video

Sam Smith’s chart-topping James Bond theme ‘Writing’s On The Wall’ has just landed itself a new video.

After being given the accolade of the first Bond theme to go to #1, the ‘Spectre’ song’s accompanying clip also aims big.

Luke Monaghan directs, interspersing clips from the Daniel Craig-starring film. It shows Sam Smith looking pensive and mournful in various grand, Rome locations - rock formations, Union Jack-covered coffins, the gloomy outdoors - without seeming to know why he’s there, or what he’s supposed to be so sad about.
