Honeyblood - Ready For The Magic

Distill all the best, most ferocious highlights of Honeyblood’s 2014 debut album and you’re left with a perfect, all-guns-blazing punk potion. Or, in simpler terms, there’s ‘Ready For The Magic’. The lead single from a new album, it captures all the no-prisoners ecstasy of the Scottish duo’s first work, adding another dose of ferocity just for the hell of it.

In between records, Honeyblood have changed drummers. In steps Cat Myers, a musician who has the right balance between all-out fervour and smart restraint - exactly what Honeyblood require. She’s led by a snarling Stina Tweedale, who delivers each line with the kind of venom you’d traditionally find in a snakepit.
