Phoebe Bridgers confirms return with news of third album ‘Lost Weekend’
It’s the hugely-anticipated follow up to ‘Punisher’, and her first LP in six years.
It’s official - Phoebe Bridgers is back, having just announced that her long-awaited next album, ‘Lost Weekend’, will arrive on 14th August via Dead Oceans.
It’s been six years since she last graced our airwaves/headphones/record players with sophomore LP ‘Punisher’ back in 2020, since which the cult singer-songwriter has also released one album (‘the record’) with indie supergroup extraordinaire boygenius (aka Phoebe, Julien Baker, and Lucy Dacus).
The news of ‘Lost Weekend’ comes in the wake of weeks of speculation; earlier this month, Phoebe shared plans for a huge 2026 North America and Europe tour, while her recent run of surprise ‘pop up’ shows concluded with a sold-out turn at New York’s iconic Madison Square Garden.
Exact details of what we can expect from ‘Lost Weekend’ are still a little scarce, but press materials promise that the LP will see Phoebe “refining many of the motifs that distinguished her work previously on this new album that’s otherwise, everywhere, full of surprises.” Intriguing…
