Brighton trio The Xcerts share latest track ‘bury you’
The single is the latest taste of their forthcoming sixth album, ‘i think i want to go home now.’.

Brighton rock trio The Xcerts have shared their newest single, ‘bury you’, ahead of the release of their latest album next month.
The band - who are set to release ‘i think i want to go home now.’ on 10th July via FLG Records - have now shared a fourth preview of their forthcoming sixth LP, that doubles as somewhat of a “sobering conversation” between friends.
Speaking of the track, the band’s Murray Macleod explain: ”Towards the end of the writing process I was taking stock and I wanted something that had - what’s the right way to put it? - not a sense of hope, but something that’s almost meant to feel like a sobering conversation. I had a lot of those with close friends of mine who were also having tough times during that period so I wanted to have a song that represents tough love. It also acts as a reflective conversation and a statement of intent for myself. ‘This ain’t your first rodeo’ is a funny line but I’ve found myself saying it a lot and it’s true.”
Alongside their latest release, which follows on from their 2023 effort ‘Learning How To Live And Let Go’, the band have also added a host of live shows to their upcoming schedule. The trio will now head out on the road for a handful of in-store performances around the album’s release, while later in the year, they’ll head out on tour in support of longtime friends, Twin Atlantic.
