Try harder
Frank Ocean producer Malay has attempted to explain the ‘Boys Don’t Cry’ delay
He’s not offered up much, tbh.

The ‘Boys Don’t Cry’ saga continues, this time with Frank Ocean’s longtime producer getting stuck into the mix - “art cannot be rushed”, apparently.
Malay - for that is the producer in question - took to Reddit last night for an ‘AMA’ (that’s an Ask Me Anything, ‘fyi’). During the interview-slash-free-for-all, he explained the delay thus. “It’s about making sure the perfect aesthetic for the situation has been reached, to do that takes constant tweaking, trial and error … That goes for any creative [situation].”
Poor excuse, mate. And as for the actual release date? Malay’s “never heard of an actual date” apparently. “Then again I don’t pay attention to a lot of stuff.” Brilliant.
The latest rumours suggest it’s coming today, if you still have a shred of hope that you can muster. Remember when we frantically reported on every movement of the first couple of days of that live stream? We’re not okay, here. Please, Frank. Help us.
