Trent Reznor hints at new Nine Inch Nails music this year

This year has been all about the ‘big’ records. Everyone from Rihanna and Frank Ocean, to Bon Iver, Kanye West, and Beyoncé have been at it, but according to Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor, the year isn’t over yet.

At the end of last year, he tweeted promising new Nine Inch Nails in 2016, along with “other stuff” (whatever that means). The band later denied reports of a NIN single called ‘Dive and Slam’, which was rumoured for a September release. Now, responding to an impatient fan on Instagram, Reznor’s renewed those 2016 rumours.

Asked by a fan “what’s the word on new NIN for 2016 like you said?” he replied “2016 is not over yet”.

There you go, then.

If Nine Inch Nails are indeed plotting an album, it’d be their first since 2013’s ‘Hesitation Marks’. Though Trent Reznor hasn’t yet fufilled his promise of more NIN this year, he’s been busy regardless, helping launched Apple Music and Beats 1 last year, as well as soundtracking David Fincher film ‘Gone Girl’.
