Leon Bridges launches next album ‘Happiness Anytime’ with four sun-soaked new songs
The record - due to arrive on 25th September - will be released in three parts, with the first instalment out now.

Leon Bridges is back, having announced details of his fifth studio album ‘Happiness Anytime’ - and, what’s more, he’s kick-started this next chapter with not one, but four new tracks.
The follow-up to Bridges’ 2024 self-titled LP ‘Leon’, ‘Happiness Anytime’ will arrive on 25th September via Columbia Records, and was produced by J Lloyd-Watson and Jungle’s Lydia Kitto (who, coincidentally, also have an album of their own arriving this summer too).
Combining the sonic warmth of his beloved 2015 debut ‘Coming Home’ with the adventurous groove of his Khruangbin collaborations (‘Texas Sun’ and ‘Texas Moon’), Leon’s next effort aims to be, as he explains, “something that lingers with people and lingers in people’s bones.” Continuing, he notes: “There’s this feeling that we have to fix the problems of the world; you feel inadequate or it can be debilitating. My role is to be light. I hope that comes across with this album.”
Plus, he’s also on a mission to get people dancing, imbuing his latest material - and its accompanying live show - with the rhythms and communal sensibilities of Jamaican dancehall culture, as recently previewed in pop-up performances in Paris, Cannes, Los Angeles, Montreux Jazz Festival, and London’s Jazz Café.
In a move away from your typical release timeline, Leon’s also chosen to drop the LP in three parts, with each part consisting of a four-song EP. The first of these - made up of ‘Light The Way,’ ‘Tears of Joy,’ ‘Illusion,’ and ‘Your Love Is Electric’ - is out now. Check out the latter for yourself below.
