Watch Sampha play ‘(No One Knows Me) Like The Piano’ on Fallon
And yes, it was emotional as you’d expect.
Last week, Sampha revealed his latest single, the delicate ballad ‘(No One Knows Me) Like The Piano’, a beautiful ode to the instrument in his mother’s home he has played throughout his life.
So it was hankies at the ready when he brought the tune to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Silhouetted against a static orange background, Sampha performed a beautifully delicate rendition of the tune, probably causing a huge wave of rapid eye moistening throughout the audience. Excuse us, we’ve just got something stuck in our eye…
Watch Sampha perform ‘(No One Knows Me) Like The Piano’ below.
Sampha’s debut ‘Process’ is out 3rd February via Young Turks.
