Watch the trailer for Ezra Koenig’s anime ‘Neo Yokio’
It stars Jaden Smith, Jude Law, Jason Schwartzman and Susan Sarandon.

Way back in March, Ezra Koenig revealed that he’d been working with Jaden Smith on a “vibey” project that turned out to be ‘Neo Yokio’, a new anime set in a hybrid of New York and Tokyo where Ezra plays a robot butler. As you do.
Well, after giving us a little bit of a teaser as to what it’ll look like earlier this week, the trailer’s here! It reveals some more details about who’s actually starring in the series (Susan Sarandon, Jude Law, Jason Schwartzman are all there, with some voice contributions from Steve Buscemi, Jaden’s sister Willow, Richard Ayoade, Stephen Fry… basically all the people) and that all six episodes will be here on 22nd September.
As for the trailer itself? Well, we won’t spoil too much but there’s robots, explosions, magic, kiss-induced nosebleeds, high school and a lot of anime hair. You know what we’re talking about…
This news comes not long after Ezra stated that the new Vampire Weekend album was “80% done”. He gave a lengthy reply to a fan on Twitter, giving an update on the progress of the follow-up to ‘Modern Vampires of the City’. On that note, wonder if any modern vampire of the city will turn up in ‘Neo Yokio’? Probably not, but one can dream…
