Marina unveils political montage video for ‘To Be Human’
The singer released the first part of new album ‘LOVE + FEAR’ last week.
Fresh off the back of releasing ‘LOVE’ - the first part of her double album ‘LOVE + FEAR’ - last week, Marina (now, sans Diamonds) has unveiled the video for current single ‘To Be Human’.
Featuring footage of Black Lives Matter protests, historical wartime clips and various other significant cultural moments, it’s definitely a bit different to ‘FROOT’, let’s admit.
“Thematically, ‘To Be Human’ sums up the head space that I’ve come from in the past three years” says the singer. “The subject matter is really important. I talk about unity, name checking a lot of places around the world to create this picture of humanity because in our current political climate we are constantly being made to see different people as ‘other’ and I hate that.”
We hate that, too!
The second part of the record, ‘FEAR’, will be released alongside the full double album on 26th April, and Marina is off on tour later this month to showcase its wares.
