Sports Team announce debut album ‘Deep Down Happy’
The six-piece have also shared their brand new track ‘Here’s The Thing’.
It’s finally that time: Sports Team have announced plans to release their debut album in just a couple of months.
The six-piece have confirmed that they’ll release ‘Deep Down Happy’ on 3rd April via Island Records. The band have also shared a new track from it, ‘Here’s The Thing’.
Speaking about the record, the band’s Alex Rice has said: “I don’t think we were conscious of doing it but the album maps the journey of moving in together in Harlesden, moving back to home towns to sleep on floors for 18 months, then coming back to London, weighing up whether being in a band with your mates, being young in London is still the best thing in the world. I think it probably is.”
The twelve-track record - which comes produced by the band’s long-time collaborator Burke Reid - will feature previous fan favourites including ‘Kutcher’, ‘The Races’ and ‘Fishing’. Check out the tracklisting below.
