Beck Shares More Details On New ‘Morning Phase’ Album
Three of ‘Morning Phase’s tracks were recorded in Nashville at Jack White’s Third Man Records.

After a relatively quiet few years, Beck’s got his sights firmly set on a prolific 2014, with new album ‘Morning Phase’ - announced for February 2014 - set to be backed up by a second full-length in the space of a year.
With Capitol set to release a distinct companion to 2002 record ‘Sea Change’, Beck Hansen called the record ‘California music’ when speaking to Rolling Stone.
Influences for ‘Morning Phase’ come in the form of ‘Byrds, Crosby Stills and Nash, Gram Parsons, Neil Young,’ apparently, and Beck’s revealed a list of musicians working alongside him on the album, including Joey Waronker (Atoms For Peace) and Hansen’s very own dad, David Campbell, who’s worked with him previously.
There is also a second, untitled record on the cards. The album contains previously unveiled singles including ‘Gimme’ and ‘I Won’t Be Long’, but its details aren’t set in stone.
