Listen: FAMY Announce New Single, ‘A Ho A Hand’

Here’s a surprise. FAMY are back; the group responsible for one sold out single (2011’s ‘Dogg Dogg’) and absolutely nothing since. Most of the band’s members are involved in Los Porcos, a tongue-in-cheek disco pop group from Manchester/London, so they have been busy.

It’s just been announced that they’ve a debut album on the way, due out in 2014 via Transgressive (Foals, Theme Park). Their new song ‘a Ho a Hand’ is, on paper and based on its opening seconds, a fucked-up version of a traditional campfire song. The same bark-like vocals that defined ‘Dogg Dogg’ are there, alongside the jolly but ultimately really-quite-weird approach to pop.
