Katy Goodman’s just seen off the final ever Vivian Girls show, and she’s quickly killed any lull by sharing the first new material from her ‘Hour of the Dawn’ album, out this May on Hardly Art Records.

‘Losing to the Dark’ is a blistering, shin-kicking return for La Sera that speeds by at the pace of a pack of cheetahs hunting for prey. In this case, Katy’s got her eye on battling gremlins in her head, singing ‘I can’t live like this forever / losing to the dark’ atop fizzing riffs that seize the attention.
