Listen: X Priest X Unveil New Single ‘Isn’t It So’

Florida duo X Priest X are specialists in skewing Chromatics-style nightwave into something capable of taking on the charts for good. We first mentioned the pair back in July of last year, the Madeline Priest-led project giving playful pop a new slant. Since then they’ve stayed behind the scenes, returning with ‘Isn’t It So’, a new single on Swedish label Emotion, taken from the ‘Samurai’ EP.

Priest’s vocals are a shiny, sugary centre to driven bass and dreamy synth parts, tailor made for a ‘Drive Pt. II’, especially one that features Ryan Gosling performing stunts. It’s described by the band as ‘the fastest and most expensive car you’ll drive this year.’ Spot on.

‘Samurai’ is out 15th April.
