Lorde Tops UK Singles Chart With ‘Royals’
17 year old tops the charts a week ahead of her debut album release.

Ella Yelich-O’Connor aka Lorde has topped the UK singles charts with her ‘Royals’ hit.
The song has already appeared as #1 in New Zealand, the US and several other countries. It lands at the top as a new entry.
‘Royals’ beats last year’s X Factor winner James Arthur to the top spot. The other notable new entry comes in the form of Icona Pop’s follow-up to #1 single ‘I Don’t Care (I Love It)’, ‘All Night’, which charts at #31.
In the album charts, Katy Perry’s ‘Prism’ has gone straight in at #1, beating James Blunt to the top spot.
Lorde’s debut album ‘Pure Heroine’ is out tomorrow, 28th October.
