Premiere: Listen: Johnny Foreigner Stream ‘You Can Do Better’ In Full
Listen in full to Johnny Foreigner’s fantastic fourth album ahead of its 10th March release.

almighty return ‘You Can Do Better’ is the sound of a band finding their strongest form. It’s also a record that very nearly didn’t happen.
After 2011 LP ‘Johnny Foreigner vs Everything’, frontman Alexei Burrow wasn’t even sure if he wanted to make another record. ‘I didn’t admit it to anyone,’ he told DIY in this month’s March 2014 issue.
‘It just seemed pointless, like it was gonna repeat. It’s like releasing a bit autobiography and then, the next year, releasing it with a couple more chapters tagged in on the end.’
The solution was to get back into gear, and get the creative juices flowing with a series of EPs. In the process, they wound up writing their next record almost as a brilliant accident. It’s an album defined by biting assaults of tracks that come hurling at you right from the opening cascading drums of opener ‘Shipping’.
We’re delighted to be bringing you a premiere of the album ahead of its 10th March release on Alcopop! Records.
