THE GIG
Sean Nicholas Savage - London, The Finsbury

Canada’s near-iconic SNS returns to London for another performance of bellowed chants, sweet loved up croons and some cheesy, earnest keyboard solos. Like nothing else you’ll witness live.

THE SONG
Charles Howl - Do No Harm [DIY Premiere]

Following the ‘Surf Trem’ single on Lo Recordings earlier this year London garage rocker Charles Howl is back with new single ‘Do No Harm’, taken from his upcoming self-titled debut EP, which is due for release on November 13 via London/Stockholm label PNKSLM. While ‘Surf Trem’ was all angular lo-fi ‘Do No Harm’ finds Howl refining and sharpening his songwriting while upping the pop: it’s pure garage rock - short and catchy with a distinct bare-boned sound - and it certainly bodes well for the EP. Check out our premiere of the track with its accompanying monochromatic video up above. [Johan Alm]

Charles Howl plays London Tipsy Bar on 29th October.

OTHER NEU BUSINESS
ORKID - ‘Games’ (feat. Andrea)

ORKID is the project of Malmö based artist Niklas Tjäder, whose previous work includes Vidderna and Badlands as well as playing guitar with Swedish duo Korallreven - he also happens to be the brother of Korallreven and The Radio Dept. member Daniel Tjäder. ‘Games’ is the debut single from his new project ORKID and finds Tjäder moving in a more r’n’b-inspired, and handling both production and vocal duties himself - with the help of guest vocalist Andrea Hatanmaa. The result is gorgeous, and we can’t help but want for more. [Johan Alm]
