Parakeet, Honeyslide, Van Stonholt - Waiting Room, London
If last night’s Fidlar show failed to get the frostbite off your toes, tonight’s London gig has to live up to the task. Shoegaze, in all its reproductions and vibrant homages, gets a brilliant showcase going at the Waiting Room. Honeyslide are making a name for themselves with a string of shows in the capital, while Parakeet have just released their stunning ‘Shonen Hearts’ EP.

Tommy Sanders is on vocals and guitar, Jonny Sanders on synths, and Pete Cattermoul on bass. It’s a superb, restrained pop effort, exactly the kind PATP fans, with even the highest of expectations, would have expected.
