Listen: Parakeet Reveal New Track, ‘Shonen Hearts’

The project of History of Apple Pie’s James Thomas and Yuck’s Mariko Doi have unveiled a new song, alongside news of summer shows.

When DIY’s First On covered Parakeet last month, we described the band’s current output as ‘100% pure gold’ and ‘Shonen Hearts’ does well to maintain the success rate.

Having recruited new guitarist Jon Jackson, the now three-piece have a punchier sound to sport, with a marching army of guitar riffs competing for space with Doi’s assured vocals.
