A ‘Mental Health And The Music Industry’ Event Will Replace Frightened Rabbit At Meltdown Fest
The band were due to play the Robert Smith-curated festival today.
Meltdown Festival, which is taking place between 15th-24th June this year at the Southbank Centre in London, has announced it will not be replacing Frightened Rabbit with a new artist following the recent death of lead singer Scott Hutchison.
The festival, which is being curated this year by The Cure’s Robert Smith, will be replacing the band’s scheduled slot today (19th June) with a panel on mental health in the music industry.
Musicians Kristin Hersh of Throwing Muses, Stefan Olsdal of Placebo and musician and poet Dizraeli are due to take part in the panel as well as Christine Brown, Director of External Affairs at music charity Help Musicians UK and clinical psychologist Dr Jay Watts.
