Active Child returns with new single ‘1999’

Pat Grossi aka Active Child has shared the first single from his upcoming album ‘Mercy’.

The follow up to his 2011 debut album ‘You Are All I See’ is released in June via Vagrant, and previewed by new single ‘1999’. In 2013, Grossi released the ‘Rapor’ EP, which featured guest contributions from Ellie Goulding on the track ‘Silhouette’ and Mikky Ekko on ‘Subtle’.

Lead single ‘1999’ is marked by Grossi’s quivering falsetto, backed by classical arrangements and blissful percussion. Featuring an understated, hypnotic groove, ‘1999’ combines a plethora of instruments and with Grossi exploring his wide vocal ranges. It never sounds too complex or overwhelming though, rather, it’s a delicately composed and genteel drifting track about innocence and growth.
