Adele is now bookies’ favourite to headline Glastonbury 2016
The singer’s odds of headlining at Worthy Farm next year are now at evens.
While news of her so-long-awaited-that-the-phrase-long-awaited-doesn’t-really-cover-it-tbh new album is still pretty much zero, the Adele rumour train keeps on rolling, with odds of her headlining Glastonbury 2016 now sitting at evens.
According to Ladbrokes, there’s been a flurry of bets placed on the ‘Rolling In The Deep’ star in recent days, prompting the bookmakers to offer even money on any further bets. As Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes states in a press release, “Adele’s going to be rolling in the Glastonbury mud next year if this gamble is on the money. Punters have piled into her odds, and with tickets on sale in a couple of weeks Festival organisers may have let a cat out of the bag.” It’s not out of the question - the other day Michael Eavis confirmed that Glasto’s headline slots for the next two years have already been booked.
Tickets for Glastonbury 2016 will go on sale on October 1st (for coach packages) and 4th (for general admission). Other current rumours for the festival bill toppers include Foo Fighters at 4/5 and Coldplay at 2/1. Check out the full list of Ladbrokes’ prospective headliners below.
