Alex Lahey announces European tour for 2018
More dates in support of the singer’s debut album ‘I Love You Like A Brother’.
Alex Lahey recently finished up a UK tour in support of her excellent debut album ‘I Love You Like A Brother’, and has announced another extensive run for next year.
The dates begin with two mainland shows in Brussels and Utrecht in late March, with eight UK shows and one Dublin date following.
‘I Love You Like A Brother’ is the follow-up to last year’s ‘B-Grade University’ EP and was the singer’s first release on Dead Oceans.
We spoke to the Australian singer about the album, ending up chatting everything from Dolly Parton to Vegemite.
“I think that the relationships we have with people as individuals are the things that shape us and affect the way that we see the world,” Alex told us. “And I guess that, for me, I wanted to explore that in songs at various times in my life.
“I think that the most important relationship we have is the one we have with ourselves. That’s what makes things sink or swim. It’s an interesting thing to reflect on, especially in your mid-twenties when it’s acceptable to be feeling your way through…”
