Algiers announce debut album, share ‘Irony, Utility, Pretext’ video

Trio have signed to Matador for a debut LP.

Fledging trio have announced details of their self-titled debut album.

The group - led by Franklin James Fisher - are putting out their first work on 1st June via Matador Records. They’ve also unveiled the video for ‘Irony, Utility, Pretext’, which applies archive footage and space-age visuals to shots of Fisher launching himself at the camera. Watch it below.

Algiers play London’s Power Lunches on 22nd April, before supporting Interpol on their US tour.
