Humongous!
Alt-J announce huge O2 Arena show for 2015
The three-piece have set the bar even higher for their first show of the new year.
Having already sold out London’s Alexandra Palace with barely a flicker of an eyelid back in June this year, Alt-J have set their sights for 2015 somewhat higher: the band will be playing The O2 Arena next January.
The three-piece, who are due to unveil their second album ‘This Is All Yours’ in September, already have a full UK tour planned around its release. Now, they’ve confirmed plans to follow it up with their largest headline show ever at the 20,000-capacity O2 Arena in London.
Taking place on 24th January, tickets for the show are due to go on sale next Wednesday (20th August) at 9am. Tickets will be available for purchase over at Axs.com.
The news of their massive 2015 show comes just days after the band revealed the third cut from their forthcoming record, ‘Every Other Freckle’.
Alt-J will release the follow-up to their Mercury Prize-winning debut ‘An Awesome Wave’ on 22nd September through Infectious Records. The band’s upcoming tour schedule - including their newly announced 2015 show - looks a little something like this:
SEPTEMBER
18 Glasgow, Academy
19 Manchester, Apollo
20 Manchester, Apollo
22 Wolverhampton, Civic Hall
23 Brighton, Centre
24 London, Alexandra Palace
JANUARY 2015
