The band will released their brand new album ‘This Is All Yours’ this September.

Alt-J reveal video for 'Left Hand Free'

With their last video offering - the clip for their Miley Cyrus-sampling cut ‘Hunger of the Pine’ - Alt-J opted for a more serious subject matter: a young man, bloodied, running through a forest attempting to escape his hunters. For their new video, they’ve gone for something a bit different.

Directed by Ryan Staake (the man behind videos for Diplo and Major Lazer), the ‘Left Hand Free’ clip was shot on the Guadalupe River just outside of Austin, Texas, and seems to embody the spirit of American teenage youth: there’s river rafting, fireworks and a game of pool or two for good measure.

How legal or safe the group’s activities are is left up to the imagination, but it’s a pretty-looking video all the same. Have a watch below.

‘This Is All Yours’, the follow-up to the band’s Mercury Prize-winning debut ‘An Awesome Wave’, is out 22nd September on Infectious Music. Alt-J also tour the UK this September, when they’ll play dates in Glasgow, Manchester, Wolverhampton and Brighton before finishing up with a huge London Alexandra Palace show.

Check out the full dates below.
