Andrew W.K. signs up for radio show on Glenn Beck’s network
Conservative lynchpin has welcomed in the ‘Party Hard’ star for a weekly show.
Partying has no bounds. It doesn’t discriminate. Not even in the face of somebody who once claimed that Marxist and Islamist “radicals” would start an “insurrection”, leading to a new caliphate. Oh no. Everyone’s invited to Andrew W.K.’s great big party bus, and he’s just been embraced by an unlikely source.
The ‘Party Hard’ star has confirmed plans to host a weekly, Saturday night show on conservative host Glenn Beck’s The Blaze network. The former Fox News anchor holds the ropes to the station, and he’s promising to broadcast: “A raw and penetrating discussion of what it is to be alive – meaning, motivation, mindset, and making dreams come true, all included in a celebration of life itself – and all with a positive and honest outlook.”
Andrew W.K. had this to say: “When Glenn asked me to do my own radio show on The Blaze, I was shocked but excited, as I knew he would allow me the unrestrained freedom to say exactly what I wanted. I’m very dedicated to exploring and learning from different people in different places, and always with an open heart. If people never went outside their own box, life would be boring. After all, why would I only want to talk with people who already think exactly like me?”
Beck referred to the “strange bedfellows” conundrum he shares with the musician. “My relationship with Andrew W.K. is a perfect example of how two people can come together on what unites us,” he said. “He is open minded, honest, loves his fellow man even though he may disagree with him, and is a natural entertainer.”
