Neu Pick
Anteros dance off the darkness on ‘Blue’
Otherworldly pop prospect are today’s Neu Pick.

Every weekday, DIY’s new music know-it-all Neu brings you one essential new release to get obsessed with. Today’s Neu Pick comes from Anteros.
Taking to DIY’s Live At Leeds stage this weekend, Anteros wasted no time in casting their spell. Recent single ‘Breakfast’ proved their pop chops, but it’s in its b-side ‘Blue’ that Anteros’ shapeshifting tendencies really take flight.
Dancing around a similar otherworldy realm to Neu favourites Pumarosa, ‘Blue’ finds Anteros’ hypnotic pop framing a darker tale than ever before. “‘Blue’ is a cocktail of gin, depression and falling in love at the worst possible time,” say the band. Cheery stuff it may not sound, but wrapped up in its intoxicating candy shell, it’s hard not to fall for Anteros’ spellbinding charm.
Get the first spin of ‘Blue’ below - it comes ahead of a pretty chockablock few months for the group, who’ll hit up the following dates:
MAY
19 Brighton, The Great Escape
23 London, Barfly (w/ Man Of Moon)

17 Leicestershire, 110 Above Festival
