Antony Szmierek announces debut album ‘Service Station At The End Of The Universe’
The Manchester-based artist has also just dropped his latest single ‘The Great Pyramid Of Stockport’.

Antony Szmierek has confirmed that his anticipated debut album, ‘Service Station At The End Of The Universe’, will arrive on 28th February 2025 via Mushroom Music/Virgin Music Group.
Since we last caught up with Antony for our Class of 2024 issue, he’s a whirlwind year, playing a BBC Radio 1 Maida Vale session, multiple sets at Glastonbury, and most recently Hamburg’s Reeperbahn Festival (check out our full review here).
The follow up to his 2023 EPs ‘Poems To Dance To’ and ‘Seasoning’, ‘Service Station At The End Of The Universe’ is set to feature his breakout track ‘The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Fallacy’, as well as recent release ‘Rafters’ and his hot-off-the-press latest single ‘The Great Pyramid Of Stockport’.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the new cut, Antony has elaborated: “Stockport Council abandoned plans for a Valley of the Kings themed shopping plaza, leaving only an empty pyramid behind. Nobody really knows what the pyramids in Giza are for. What we do know is that we’re not here long, and that the impossible is more possible than we think it is, motivationally speaking. That big blue pyramid serves as a reminder that human beings never really change - even if our pyramids are now by the side of motorways and full of office space.”
What’s more, to celebrate the big news, he’s also announced a new run of UK/EU tour dates to support the album’s release - including a hometown show at Manchester’s iconic Albert Hall.
