Apparatjik have announced they will release their album, ‘Square Peg In A Round Hole’, while also revealing their recent collaboration with N.E.R.D’s Pharrell Williams.
The record, their second to date, will be released on 21st February - the follow-up to debut release ‘We Are Here’ which came out back in 2009.
Coldplay bassist Guy Berryman had this to say of his experimental side-project:
‘Apparatjik works in cells around the world as an open platform for collaborations. After working with Pharrell in Miami, Martin came home with a demo of a fantastic song titled ‘Do it Myself’ which they had written together, and we just said, hey, lets just add some bits and use this as an Apparatjik song ! i love the fact that a musical collective can be this unpredictable.’
The group will also put out an iPad magazine and take their live ‘cube’ performances onto the festival circuit.
Listen to the Pharrell-featuring ‘Do It Myself’ below.

The best part is that, unlike most super groups, Apparatjik actually sound like a decent band.
