Watch Arcade Fire mash up Radiohead, David Bowie and John Lennon at tiny Chicago show
The band played a little Lollapalooza afterparty in the city over the weekend.
Fresh from releasing new album ‘Everything Now’ last week, Arcade Fire headlined Chicago festival Lollapalooza this past weekend.
After the set, the band played a little aftershow at the city’s Metro venue. During the gig, they played a cover of John Lennon’s ‘Mind Games’. They also managed to create some form of mash-up, incorporating Radiohead classic ‘Karma Police’, the late David Bowie’s ‘Oh! You Pretty Things’ and even a snippet of their own cut ‘Wake Up’.
The band have been playing a whole host of little gigs around festival headline slots recently, playing two London shows at boxing arena York Hall along with gigs in Scunthorpe and Edinburgh.
The band are set to return for some pretty special ‘in the round’ shows at Wembley Arena next year, playing three dates at the venue in April.
‘Everything Now’ became the band’s third consecutive number one album on both sides of the Atlantic this week, following the chart-topping ‘Reflektor’ and ‘The Suburbs’.
