Arctic Monkeys alert fans to fake gig poster

“There will be no further shows”, the band Tweet, addressing 2014 plans.

Arctic Monkeys have alerted fans to a “fraudulent promotion” of a show, in turn confirming that they’ll be playing no more gigs until a new album’s been finished.

Taking to Twitter, the band alerted fans to a gig poster, suggesting that a 28th February gig was due to take place in Malaysia. “Following our show in Rio, there are no further live shows planned. Please disregard fraudulent promotions,” they stated, attaching the fake gig poster.

Their final UK show was at this year’s Leeds Festival, in August. Following 2014 dates, they’re due to head back into the studio to finish the follow-up to 2013’s ‘AM’. Alex Turner meanwhile features on ‘Vertigo’, a track from US band Mini Mansions, who support Royal Blood on their UK tour next year.
