Are My Chemical Romance teasing a comeback?

A teaser video’s been posted online, closing with a date in September.

Well, hello then. Just now, My Chemical Romance posted a teaser video on Twitter, featuring the intro music to ‘Welcome To The Black Parade’, and a date.

The date is 09/23/2016 (23rd September this year for us Brits). The band’s breakthrough album ‘The Black Parade’ was released on 23rd October 2006. So, unless Gerard Way and co. are really into celebrating anniversaries of 9 years and 11 months, someone in the maths department of MCR HQ is getting the sack.

Either way, something MCR-related is coming on 23rd September, which is bloody exciting. The band’s Twitter page has also been adorned with a new image - ‘MCRX’ - indicating something is indeed coming for the 10th anniversary of ‘The Black Parade’.

My Chemical Romance broke up in 2013, three years after the release of their fourth album, ‘Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys’.

Since then, Gerard Way has released a solo album ‘Hesitant Alien’ (and starred on the cover of DIY’s August 2014 issue), Frank Iero has released music with his band The Cellabration, Mikey Way formed new band Electric Century, and Ray Toro has been teasing new solo music.

Until 23rd September, watch the MCRX teaser below. Bloody hell.
