Austra air new ‘Habitat’ video

Austra are linking up with their new ‘Habitat’ EP by sharing a video for the title-track.

Directed by Matt Lambert, the clip is set out in a sordid motel, with various creepy characters eyeing up the camera and trying to seduce. The results are varying, while Katie Stelmanis herself stars in the clip.

The follow-up to ‘Olympia’ is out now. About the new record, Katie recently told DIY: “It doesn’t feel like people were listening to our music because they were told to. I also didn’t feel a lot of pressure because I knew exactly what I wanted to do and how to do it and so this record is exactly the record that I wanted to make. If people don’t like it, that’s too bad. It’s essential to make music for yourself; I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.”
